“To provide quality and competitive education to enable the young generation to be leaders in the global village.”
Angels Care Uganda is a community-based institution in the Kyaka II refugee settlement providing accommodation, education, and medical care to both refugee and host community children. Angels Care was established in 2008 to provide shelter and other essential basic needs to the homeless vulnerable children (OVCs). Since, ACU has grown to provide education and medical care to the Kyaka II Refugee Settlement. ACU has been supported by Kings Temple Missionary Society through SOLMA (Spring of Life Ministries or Ensulo y’Obulamu Ministries in Uganda), and other organizations such as The Forgotten International.
Today, Angels Care School serves 1000 students of which 80% are refugees and 20% are Ugandan Nationals.
The school includes an orphanage that cares for 130 orphans and vulnerable children. Angels Care Uganda provides entirely for these orphans and vulnerable children, referred to as Persons of Specific NEeds (PSNs), including schooling fees, uniforms, food, and some accommodations as the children are unable to provide these for themselves.
Angels Care also provides vocational training for the OVCs and the out-of-school youth to gain skills to become self-reliant.
