Where refugee children find family.
At Angels Care we take care of 130 orphans through Angels Care Orphanage. Fifteen of these children are cared for and loved by Pastor Godfrey and his wife themselves, fed, clothed, and sent to Angels Care School.
The Ugandan government prefers orphans to be assigned to families so that they can grow up in a family setting and escape the trauma of being an orphan. For this reason, the remaining 115 orphans are carefully placed with families throughout our refugee community. If there has been a problem with these families, the orphan is brought back immediately to Angels Care Orphanage. Otherwise, Angels Care continues to support these families as they provide a loving family setting in which the orphan is cared for.
The families who agree to take in the orphans rarely can financially afford to do so and depend on the financial support of Angels Care Orphanage to provide the funds necessary for the orphans to remain with their new families. The support of each child costs approximately $90CAN per month. Every dollar provided is used for housing, feeding, clothing, education, and basic medical care for every child.
To fully support our fifteen children requires approximately $1,200CAN per month or $90CAN per child.
